The text reads " Valentine Greetings, Little playmate, tell me true, Have I any chance with You? Let me be your Valentine, For you always have been mine." Printed on the back is "Whitneymade, Worcester, Mass., made in USA." It is a valentine given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt. Vernon during her school years.
